A new type of laser etching is now available. Our new 1062 nm Fiber laser is capable of producing a color change mark on our keycaps. The result is a contrasting mark with little to no physical surface change. Color of the mark varies slightly depending on the color of the keycap itself. We have several examples posted in our Gallery. 

WASD V1 Custom Mechanical Keyboards can now be ordered with our traditional laser engraved keycaps or the new laser etched keycaps. Want both? No problem! For an additional $30.00 (for additional labor needed to setup and run both lasers) we can produce you a keycap with both etched and engraved keys, even on the same key.

Both types of laser printing are displayed as different shades of grey on the Custom Keyboard Designer. Please check the name of the "Font Color" to ensure you have the right type selected.
