Great Minimalistic Keyboard Review by Tommy
Rating
My new black wasd keyboard was exactly what I was looking for. Simple, brandless and only having the most crucial features. Looking for my first mechanical keyboard, it was difficult to find a keyboard with the right layout and customisation and wasdkeyboards made it easy for me, and for a fair price too.

Also, thank you for supporting Axiom Esports! (Posted on 8/14/14)

… or at least with less autocomplete because typing feels nice again.

I'm using the V2 with Cherry brown switches and the blue dampeners. Both because I'm working in a multi-person office. I already have a daskeyboard with blue switches at home, and both the clicky switches and the missing dampeners make it way louder. The dampeners have two effects, first they obviously make key presses nearly inaudible (except for the space key which does not have any dampeners!), and second, typing is softer if you press the keys to the bottom because, instead of hitting plastic on plastic, you just squeeze the rubber ring a bit.

The keyboard is not completely silent though. As said, the space key is not damped. Plus, when releasing the keys quickly, there *is* a clicky sound when the switch is stopped by its plastic case.
Over the last week, nobody has complained about the noise yet though, and I find people talking nearby much more distracting than keys.

Custom colours are great too. Although they are a bit in vain. When I started using this keyboard, I realised how little I actually look at it. But it really looks good :(

All in all, although shipping the keyboard to Switzerland was nearly as expensive as the keyboard itself, I would buy it again. It totally pays out if you are working with it all day.

Side note: The micro USB cables from WASD Keyboards are the only ones I have found so far which snap in, also on my mobile phone. (Posted on 4/22/14)

It is my first mechanical keyboard since the early 90s, when I used some very nice IBM or Olivetti keyboards. For the first time since then I have re-experienced the nice feeling of the loud keys. Shipping to Europe was very fast, although very expensive. I bought WASD mainly because of the customisation features. I use a Mac with Windows, and there are no other options around with an Italian layout and the double legends for the two OSs in the right places. I have been typing on it for half an hour and I am already hooked. I can happily bin my old Apple keyboard (Posted on 1/23/14)
Excellent quality in the layout I needed Review by Pierre

I got the V1 about a year ago.

The deciding factor was that there are very few options for mechanical keyboards with the Swiss (CH) layout. One of the only options was the WASD, thanks to the customization they offer. I didn't really care about the other customization options (colors, custom text on the keys etc.) and I would not have paid just for it, but it was fun and it's quite unique (if slightly nerdy) to have a keyboard with your name written on the space bar and little llamas instead of windows icons on the win keys...

The build quality is amazing, it's solid, stable, really nice to type on (got the cherry browns).

It's not cheap, especially if you add the shipping costs to Europe, but definitley worth it for me. And I expect to still be using it 10 years from now. I might even get another one, maybe the 88, to use at home (the one I have is at the office).

I'm very happy to have a wasd keyboard. It is a very solid keyboard, good materials, nice look and serious company.

I haven't any problem to buy this keyboard from Spain. The only little downside is that the keyboard takes around 3 week to arrive. (Posted on 11/8/13)
Excellent keyboard Review by John

One of the only places I have found that makes ISO keyboards, specifically FR azerty. Everywhere else I found was either tenkeyless or you can't purchase from their own website (wtf ducky), so being able to customize, ask questions, and order from the same place was great. A tad expensive, but the quality speaks for itself, with many many customization options. Only downside? No backlight option. But really, for my wife it isn't needed. I expect this keyboard to last years and years. (Posted on 11/5/13)
