Great, with minor things to wish for Review by Doekman

I really like the keyboard. Finally, I can feel again what I'm typing. The color is deep black, and the used fonts really nice. The background lighting to me is gimmicky, but you can easily toggle it with a hotkey. It is a bit bright, and a ambient light sensor would be a good addition, if you use the background lighting.

The hardware switch between option and command for Mac is very handy). The keyboard might be relatively quiet; it still makes sound. I like it though.

Things to which for/to get used to: why is it only Mac (and IBM/Lenovo) keyboards have an USB hub built in? I used the hub on my keyboard for my Apple mouse (with short lead) and occasionally for a USB drive. I solved this with a small USB hub, but still find this peculiar...

Other small thing: my muscle memory still needs to get used to the backtick/tilde (` and ~) key sitting above the tab, not right of the left-hand shift. But I'll live... (Posted on 3/7/17)
Best Keyboard I've Ever Owned Review by M.B. Edmond

I heard about this board from a friend of mine who got it as a gift and heard nothing but great things. I spent weeks researching other brands, makes, and models and decided this was the one to get, even though I never spent time on or felt the Cherry MX Clear switches under my fingertips. It just made sense to get given my black on white PC setup, down to the mouse pad. Needless to say, my OCD is satisfied.

I've spent a month with this board, going so far as to bring it with me to work and back and it's so good that I'm considering buying a TKL version to keep on backpack duty. The FN commands are intelligently placed and the adjustable back lighting is a very useful feature. This keyboard is of utilitarian design making it the Glock of keyboards; everything you need, nothing less and nothing more. The Cherry MX Clear switches on this keyboard have made my Counter-Strike game even better and are a nice compromise between a tactile feel and a noiseless switch and my co-workers have yet to complain. As a matter of fact they adore this keyboard.

This keyboard is absolutely flawless and has had zero issues out of the box. The fact that it just works is a major selling point and I'm recommending this board in particular to my best of friends. Friends don't let friends buy crappy boards and this is not one of them.

The board is devoid of logos and obnoxious Scroll, Caps, and Num lock lights which are instead replaced with recessed LED's. A fine choice and strikingly utilitarian. This is the best of the best and I'm more than satisfied with this purchase. A must have for any serious mechanical keyboard user. To Weyman and Jeff, great work. Our office, when established, will be equipped with CODE keyboards. (Posted on 3/4/17)
Quality Keyboard But... Review by Andrew

The feel and look is all great. Great keyboard for typing, while not being obnoxiously loud.

However, there has always been one key on the keyboard that doesn't light up. The first unit I received had a problem with a letter, and thankfully WASD was very responsive in getting it replaced. However, within a few weeks of receiving a replacement unit, another light on the replacement unit went out. I haven't bothered to return the second one and get it replaced because it's too much of a hassle now.

Obviously, the lack of light in ONE key is not a make-or-break situation, but it is a little depressing to see defects only a few weeks into using it. It speaks a lot to the (lack of) quality in the soldering of the light components. (Posted on 12/7/16)
Great board! Review by JP

I've gone through all of the mainstream consumer boards and this WASD board puts those to shame. Screw spending $150 on a stupid RGB piece of junk. From the very beginning you can tell WASD cares about their product and really goes the extra mile to make sure everything appears and operates in a sleek smooth style. I love the simplicity and the overall quality. 10/10 (Posted on 11/21/16)
Best keyboard I've ever owned Review by Kevin

I really enjoy this keyboard, the taller keys (than a standard scissor-switch keyboard) have noticeably improved my typing accuracy. It's a real pleasure to work on this keyboard. (Posted on 11/17/16)
Pretty nice keyboard Review by Hackworth

I love almost everything about this keyboard. My only real complaint is that the corners at the join in the housing at the back of the case are sharp enough to cause injury. Either the corners in the mold for the case component are too sharp, or mold flash wasn't properly removed during assembly. (Posted on 10/28/16)

I've had one of these for 6 months now and still absolutely love it. Very rugged, super clean look, great feel for the clear switches and very quiet for a mechanical keyboard.

I've found a single weakness over time, and would like to share it with WASD keyboards: the numlock & co leds are very recessed, and in daylight if you want to know what's up you have to lean forward to look down the hole. Less recessed LEDs or a clear diffuse plastic plug in the hole would solve this in a pinch! (Posted on 10/27/16)
Excellent Mechanical Keyboard Review by Dan

I absolutely love everything about this keyboard except the switches. I intentionally ordered it with Cherry MX Clear switches because they are very hard to find and I wanted to try them out. Let's be clear, there is nothing wrong with the switches. In fact, it's the second best keyboard I have ever used. I much prefer the softer tactile touch of the Cherry MX Brown switches in my Filco though. The Filco is also a bit heavier, which helps keep it from moving around on my desk. That said, the WASD keyboard has far grippier feet which make it equivalently stationary. I also really like the DIP switch options which let you change what certain keys do (e.g. you can change CAPS LOCK to Ctrl for e.g. Emacs editing). I didn't order this keyboard for the backlighting (I prefer my keyboard to be black with no lights), but the lighting is incredibly crisp, has 7 brightness settings, and is reflected light (i.e. no blinding LEDs in your face, just a nice clean illumination). Also, the NUM, CAPS, SCROLL indicator lights are dropped deep in pinholes, so from normal seating angle they are quite dim (I *love* this, because as I already said I hate bright LEDs on my keyboard). Overall, an excellent buy. (Posted on 10/17/16)
Flawless, elegant, shiny! Review by Furrball

I'd call this a perfect keyboard, I really can't think of anything wrong with it. Mine has Cherry MX Clear switches, which in my opinion offer just the right amount of resistance to ensure high precision typing. They're pleasant to type on, pretty silent, and coupled with the kind of plastics used for the CODE keyboard, they feel smooth and soft under your fingertips. I also like the white LED lighting: my desk is covered in decorations imitating the style of the "Tron: legacy" movie, i.e. smooth black with bright white circuit board-like stripes, and the CODE keyboard fits just perfectly. Oh, and I've seen someone lamenting long delivery times, but that might have been an unfortunate occurrence, because this is the second keyboard I order from ITALY (!) and which gets through its long trip across the ocean in just 3 days. I mean, 3 days to get from Sunnyvale, CA, to Pisa, Tuscany, which is simply amazing. (Posted on 10/15/16)
For the money you cant beat the quality and reliability of these keyboards. Review by Mark

For the money you cant beat the quality and reliability of these keyboards.

They are simple and easy to use. The backlighting looks amazing. I don't have much to complain about. I have purchased keyboards that cost 3 times the amount but i don't see where the extra money goes. These keyboards should honestly be in the $300 range. Great value and shipping was insanely fast via USPS from CA to FL.

The entire experience was fast and easy.
Thank you to the WASD team keep up the good work.
