Great feel but look is lacking... Review by Kuma

Payed almost 210 for this keyboard expecting a uniform key color however under certain light my grey keys turn either black or brown and in random configurations... i feel like 2 different batches of grey keys were used for my keyboard slightly disappointing if you are super ocd like me but my new keycaps are on the way so i can at least use the board.

**REPLY FROM WASD SUPPORT**
Apologies if your keycaps were less than perfect. If you haven't already, email us and we'll make it right. (Posted on 5/5/17)

Can't live without it! Review by Syntax

BlueMX Switches and the solid case make this an indispensable tool for coding at work. The size is also pretty tight, easy enough to throw into my bag for quick travel! Also easy dip switches and programming layers made it a snap to set up for OSX.. Personally I remapped the function key and now moving around is a snap! (Posted on 3/22/17)

My First Mechanical Keyboard Review by MrLee

I am new to software engineering and a lot of my peers have Mechanical keyboards. I searched for weeks. I wanted something custom and I didn't see anything else on the internet worth the time or price! WASD keyboard are solid, I love the ability to program my keys it is very handy for short hand! I have MX Cherry Greens and they feel and sound amazing when typing! I am very impressed with this keyboard and recommend it to anyone considering it. (Posted on 3/18/17)
Nintendo Style Keyboard Review by JC

I am so IMPRESSED! I have been working on a custom Nintendo project where I'm building a mini ITX PC inside of a classic Nintendo NES shell. Thus a cool accompanying keyboard was a must! I liked the look of the compact 61 key and I wanted to customize the colors so it would match my project and feel like a Nintendo keyboard. I reached out to their support several times and had a lot of kind and helpful assistance on what to go with. Their support is awesome! I finally pulled the trigger and this beautiful keyboard arrived at my door. The quality has blown me away. I love the attention to details at every corner, and the weight feels nice! The keys are so buttery, it's a clacking dream. The only problem is now I can never go back to a regular keyboard lol. WASD has set the bar very high. I'm so happy with my purchase! I also liked the instruction pamphlet that came with it to show me how I can fire off function keys (f1, f2 etc) as well as arrow keys with shortcuts, which was one of my concerns going with the 61 key board which does not feature those keys. So I get the awesome compact look without any sacrifice. WASD you guys rock! Thank you for my keyboard I'm going to take it with me everywhere <3 (Posted on 3/11/17)
Great board Review by Phil

Keycaps are gorgeous, and the board is top notch. Cherry blues feel great, but ring a little. Perfect board for the price and customization. (Posted on 3/5/17)
Speed and Customization Review by E$

Setup
Mac user. I have the VP3-61 with brown switches.

Switches
Brown switches - very smooth to type on, not overly clicky sounding at all, they don’t annoy people in the office. I also have a CODE keyboard from WASD in Clear switches and I found them too clicky. If you aren’t sure, it’s your first mechanical keyboard, brown is a great choice.

Size and Typing
I am a programmer, I type a lot and use a ton of key combinations without thinking. It does take a little getting used to using FN + IJKL for arrow keys. The remainder of the default FN shortcuts, like FN + SDF for volume or [] for brightness are very convenient and learned quickly. Because of the size of this keyboard everything you need to do is within reach, no need to move your fingers far, which is why my typing is so much faster on this keyboard. The keyboard is not cramped like the small Apple keyboards. The spacing feels good and there is no plastic base around the outer keys, it’s open - which looks great and feels better to type on. Additionally the base is made of metal, which gives the keyboard a nice weight and looks good too.

Customization
I ordered 4 complete set of spare keycaps. Most keyboard have stabilizer bars under the space bar, return, other larger keys. When you remove those keys it can be a pain to get them back on. The stabilizer bars on this keyboard are under the keyboard, in the base. So every key removes quickly. Which means you can quickly have them all off. Making it possible to change the entire look of your keyboard. If you want to enjoy the everyday things in life- this is a huge plus.

You can also program your own shortcuts. I haven't done that yet, but I'm sure it will be handy. I do recommend flipping the dip switch to turn caps lock into another FN key.

Two Downsides
Those stabilizer bars are inaccessible. Which means… if they start to squeak you can’t apply silicon lube to them. At least not easily. Mine arrived with the space bar making an awful squeak on the left side. Almost returned it. Got a very small screwdriver and was able to apply silicon lube through the opening in the base of the keyboard onto the left stabilizer and cleared up the squeak.

I do wish as a Mac user there was a dip switch to swap ALT/Option and Command. Other WASD keyboards have this. Fortunately you can do this in Mac settings, so didn't become a problem, but I prefer the hardware solution.

Summary
It is the best keyboard I've ever used. I ordered a second for home. I also have WASD V2 87 key, and a CODE 87 key, both great keyboards, but I like this one even more. The speed is incredible, the customization is fantastic, and the metal base lend it something extra in feel and appearance. (Posted on 3/2/17)
