Outstanding Review by Antipodean G

Look, I could write paragraphs about why this is a great keyboard and how it's changed my typing but I won't. This thing is outstanding in every way and has changed the way I look at keyboards forever.

What's more, I had some setup issues (running it on a Mac in UK PC format) and the support from WASD was absolutely first class - nothing was too hard and they stuck at it until we had everything dialed in 110%.

If/when I need another keyboard, it'll be a WASD without a thought. Now if only they did trackballs. (Posted on 8/21/18)
Finally a perfect keyboard Review by Martin183

This is my first custom keyboard and it is awesome. I was looking around the web for a compact keyboard and I couldn't find any non-custom keyboard that was very compact and mechanical switches.

The only thing I miss would be to have a track point, but otherwise it is perfect. Compact, nice-looking, and blue switches. I will probably buy one more soon to have one at home and one at work. (Posted on 8/2/18)
excellent small keyboard Review by ganeshagames

I bought this for my second office (I have a larger version in my main office) and it's fantastic. Use of WASD keyboards has greatly alleviated my RSI problems (I am a full time writer and I type a lot every day). It's just how I like it: clicky, heavy, sturdy, and designed to my specifications. The only mechanical keyboard of this quality that I can find with Italian layout. Highly recommended. (Posted on 5/23/18)
my first custom keyboard Review by carlosmoody

This is my first custom keyboard and I must admit that I impressed by the overall quality, and how fast it was to be delivered in France.
The key printing is great, the filling of the O-rings is smooth and silent : I'm more than happy.
The USB cable is the only negative point : I would have loved to choose a colored nylon braided USB cable. (Posted on 4/19/18)
Excellent combination of personalization, design and quality Review by MisterManu

Seeing to believe, once in my hands the keyboard is even cooler, the touch, the details of the finishes, only the fact of being able to customize a thousand and one way each detail that compose it is a joy. I have already ordered another one, this time for work, in the office I will have to keep it under lock cause it is sure to be the envy of all my colleagues ;-).
Thank you for making it possible. (Posted on 4/1/18)
Favorite keyboard ever Review by eo

I love this keyboard, and my experience buying from WASD was A+.

I have a version of it I purchased off another site; the customization wasn't as convenient as WASD, but I still loved the keyboard. I wanted to try a different set of keys, and a most customized color scheme. WASD made it easy to do both.

Def recommend WASD as a retailer.

Re: keybaord - there's some learning curve, so not for everyone. However, once you scale the curve you can't go back! (Posted on 3/12/18)
Poor build quality Review by Philip

I bought a 62-key keyboard with MX Blacks and red dampeners. Although the keyboard looks beautiful, the build quality is poor.

Immediately upon arrival, one of the LEDs under the spacebar was flashing randomly when some parts of the keyboard were pressed down. Turns out this was because the PCB touched the aluminium case on the inside, causing short circuiting. I fixed this by disassembling the entire board and inserting a piece of cardboard.

Then came the next problem. Spacebar is making a screeching sound when pressed on the right side (i.e., with the right thumb). I basically can't stand using it because of it and do not feel that I should have to put even more work into a keyboard this expensive. I will probably end up having to add more lube into it.

TL;DR: Good looking keyboard, VERY poor build quality.

Flawless Review by yunru.se

After customising and deliberating over the design for a week, seeing the real thing was absolutely a thing of beauty. The keys are sturdy and well-made, resting on top of Cherry MX switches of your choice, attatched to a Vortex circuit board, itself screwed into a sturdy aluminium case. Angled for ergonomic typing, this leaves a small gap between the circuit board and the bottom of the casing – a useful hidden compartment, place to put a tracker (I put a Tile in mine), or if you like playing with expensive stuff, a starting point for wiring together an integrated USB stick.

Having fewer keys than normal, the 62-key is programmable, which is honestly a feature I don’t think I could live without now. Once you get used to the system, you can assign macros, change layers and even move keys around. I moved the fn key on one layer but not the default, cheekily adding my password (with ctrl-alt-del beforehand!) as a macro, so now all I need do is swipe my finger over two keys and lock or unlock my PC. With time, if you’re not an emacs or vim user, these macros can shave time from editing. I needed to indent 50 lines of text by a single space, so rather than take two minutes of manual typing, I programmed space, left and up into a key and simply held it down for a few seconds. Quite honestly the possibilities are endless.

I have tried an off-the-shelf keyboard to compare, but the ergonomics of a smaller one (less finger movement), its portability, its custom look, its programmability and its comfort (My WPM has never been higher), the 62-key will win hands-down every day. (Posted on 3/2/18)
Great as a second keyboard Review by Dabbelju

I use the VP3 keyboard when drawing on my Surface Book. I have a tenkeyless V2 as the primary keyboard in front of my two monitors, the Surface Book sits to the left and next to that I have the VP3 so I can use it with my left hand while using the pen with my right hand.
It was important for me to have both the colors *and* the key switches of the two keyboards to match and I'm very happy with the result.
BTW: The VP3 has the option to move the Fn key on the Caps Lock key and use the lower right keys as arrow keys. As I don't use the right Ctrl or Shift keys when typing, I ordered custom keycaps with arrows to replace the Fn, Pn, right Ctrl and right Shift keys, plus a Fn keycap for the Caps Lock key. For that, I went through the (excellent) customer service to get the keycaps made using the exact arrows that are used on regular arrow keys. Maybe WASD could offer that as an option? I like everything: The make, the sound, the sturdiness and the typing speed. (Posted on 1/21/18)
