Orings! Review by Mike

Used both Blue and Red o-rings on Cherry MX CODE keyboard Review by Peter
Rating
I picked up both Blue and Red o-rings. I installed the Blue beneath all keycaps on my CODE 87-key. I tried them out for a week, and then for a lark I installed the Red and kept the Blue as well. Results: short throw, as in the keypresses don't travel as far. Faster typing, for the same reason. My fingers fly over the keys now. I'm not pounding down, for whatever reason.

My recommendation: install both Blue and Red o-rings. I did it, on my CODE with Cherry MX switches, with no detriment to keyboard action whatsoever. It behaves just as it did without the o-rings, except for the previously mentioned benefits.

NOTE: I used needle-nosed pliers to slip the springs off/on the larger keycaps, i.e., spacebar, shift, etc. (Posted on 11/8/16)
Does what its made to do. Review by Agera

Let's set the scene, here. I currently have a Corsair K70 with brown switches. I came from a Logitech G710+ with brown switches. The K70 felt different because (I later discovered) the G710+ came with o-rings. The clacky-ness of the keys hitting the board on the K70 was something I could deal with but wasn't too fond of.

So, I decided to invest in these o-rings, the 40A-R. I really like the new feel of the keys (being used to the G710+'s browns and dampeners). I like how these bottom out earlier, the clack is dampened/gone, and the overall noise of the keyboard is reduced. These do what they're made to do.

One thing I'd like to note, though. These dampeners remove some of the illumination from the backlight keys. They block the letters/numbers/etc from fully lighting up, slightly. Something to also consider before you purchase these. (Posted on 10/17/16)
Great Muffler for a Keyboard Review by Robert

I have a K70 Corsair Mechanical Keyboard and it is LOUD!! BUT I LUV IT!! Not to mention my mic is super sensitive so everyone would hear when I was typing, when talking online. I bought these and was so happy afterwards. I would buy this product again and again, but do note that it is important to research the style u need, cause I had just enough room to install the Red version. If I had bought the black ones, I would've had to return them due to the fact I barely had room for them, so the black thicker one's would not have fit. (Posted on 10/15/16)

Got the red ones to go with my daughter's Razer keyboard. Worked perfectly. It's just a bag of a hundred plus o-rings, but oh what an ingenious idea. Inexpensive. The o-rings appear to be fairly high-quality, like they're from an automotive refrigeration setup or something. Anyway, buy them! (Posted on 10/3/16)

Effective solution to finger fatigue Review by MANfofAWE

I bought the blue ones which significantly reduce travel time for mechanical key switches. Word of caution, they do not slip all the way down to the bottom of the key, thus they reduce more travel distance than I anticipated. If you are looking to purchase these to reduce travel distance, but still want to feel like you're pressing down a mechanical keyboard, the red ones are perfect. Good product, but very expensive for a tiny pack of a few rubber rings; that profit margin is thicker than Nicki Minaj's ass. But I can't complain, because they are really good and no rings had any defects. (Posted on 9/4/16)

Not desired effect Review by ACryInShame

I put these on my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard and it did very little. (https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/keyboards/natural-ergonomic-keyboard-4000/b2m-00012)

Now i understand the shape of the keyboard may of had a different effect so i did the same for a standard flat keyboard I use for my server (i use it far less as i usually just remote in) but the sounds was about the same. I even tried added 2 to a key and still little effect. It was quieter but not by much. I would not recommend these unless you know 100% it works with your keyboard.

**REPLY FROM WASD: Your keyboard is not a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX style switches. This product is only for Cherry MX style keyboards. If you have not already, please contact our support team to return the product for a refund.** (Posted on 8/19/16)
